Alice Chudes is a dreamer. She lives to love and loves to live. She likes to explore the invisible and discover the hidden truth behind the mask. Alice prefers to take the roads less travelled, which sometimes exist solely in her imagination. She believes that one needs to disconnect from reality in order to reconnect with it in unexpected ways. Alice believes in the Divine. It is this faith that makes miracles come true for her. Painting comes to Ellie Lasthiotaki from an inner desire to self-express, to capture what goes beyond the tangible and past the obvious, most of the time inspired by her memories, feelings, and experiences in life. Her visual storytelling speaks of places and people and goes even one step further to attempt to capture emotions of love, anger, or exasperation. Light, water, and love, all magical components of life, are infinite sources of inspiration. Ellie never hesitates to take chances in life and to integrate them into her art. This ability takes her and the viewers to unknown paths, to unexpected surprises. It provokes emancipation of the mind, leads to places that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Ellie has had a number of solo and group exhibitions since 2015. She is collaborating with galleries in different countries.
